A plain gray concrete covered patio became an outdoor living room with white marble pavers set over the existing slab, done in three days.

Same covered patio: plain concrete (left) and the finished white marble floor (right).
The goal: a patio that matches the house
This Indian Land home had a covered back patio with a ceiling fan and a stone accent wall, but the floor was plain gray concrete.
It worked, but it did not match the rest of the space or feel like part of the house.
How we did it
- Prep. We cleaned and prepped the existing concrete slab.
- Layout. The paver layout was planned from the doors out so full pieces land where they are seen most.
- Set the marble. White marble pavers were set across the slab and cut to the edges.
- Finish. Joints finished and the patio cleaned, ready for furniture.

Pavers set over a solid slab can transform a patio without tearing it out. Get a free on-site estimate.
Can you put pavers over existing concrete?
Often, yes. If the slab is solid and drains properly, pavers can be set right on top, which skips demolition and keeps the job short. Cracked or heaving slabs usually need repair or replacement first. We check this on the site visit.
The finished patio
The covered patio now looks like an extension of the house, with a bright marble floor that ties into the stone wall and furniture.

Questions homeowners ask us
Is marble a good choice for a covered patio?
Exterior marble pavers work well on covered patios and tend to stay cooler underfoot than darker surfaces. Sealing helps them resist stains.
Can pavers go over my existing concrete patio?
Usually, if the slab is sound and sloped to drain. We will check yours during the estimate.
How long does a patio upgrade like this take?
This one took three days.
